Formats your players already know

Understand how each format behaves on the course. FairwayRoster’s tools flex across league and tournament setups—pick what fits your event.

  • Stroke play

The classic total-score format. Each player’s gross (or net) strokes for the round determine standing. Ideal for leagues and tournaments where you want a single number on the leaderboard.

  • Skins

Win a “skin” by having the best score on a hole (with carryovers when tied). Great for casual competition and side games that keep every hole interesting.

  • Scramble

Team format: everyone hits, pick the best shot, repeat until the ball is holed. Fast, social, and friendly for mixed-skill outings and charity events.

  • Match play

Head-to-head holes: win, lose, or halve each hole. The match is decided by holes won, not total strokes—perfect for brackets and team-vs-team showdowns.

  • Stableford

Points per hole based on score relative to par (or net par). Rewards aggressive play without one bad hole ruining the card—common in club competitions worldwide.

Exact scoring and leaderboard rules depend on how your league or tournament is configured in the app. Admins can align events with your local customs.
